Poem for a Friend Songtext - Torpus & the Art Directors

Poem for a Friend - Torpus & the Art Directors

I've got a friend that whispers oh so sad confessions in my ear
Till the morning comes and soothing dark is taken by the fear
He would lead all pleasure to a place that no one ever finds
Till he found himself to be lost in the strife of heart and mind

Once it was the healing but now it's the disease

Oh Jackson
You picked up sand
It was running out of hands

I've got a friend that watches all conviction going down the drain
To know the evil from the good's not in his power, he explains

So once I've been a giver but now I am the thief

Oh Jackson
You picked up sand
It was running out of hands
Oh Jackson
Make it glass and see it through
To see I'm always there for you

You've got a beautiful head, I can tell by what you said
About hands and claws, about friends and love

Oh Jackson!
Oh Jackson!
Oh, make it glass and see it through
To see we're always there for you
