Like A Kid - The Trouble With Templeton

Can't help but sigh when I'm alone and feeling lower, and
filling my nights thinking bout life if I were bolder, and
like a kid in the backroom, watching television waiting for the bathroom,
and it isn't safe to assume there'll be someone on the corner to escort you.
Mother why'd you tell my friends?
Mother why'd you sell my things?
I'm feeling like a faucet leaking.
Can't help but cry when I'm at home and sleeping soundly, and
reading my books bout how life looks when you're astounding, and
like a man at the front door always selling you a ticket to the big drawing.
It isn't safe to ignore that other part of you that you would almost kill for.
Mother why'd you tell my friends?
Mother whyd you sell my things?
Mother what is it this time?
Mother why you always cry?
You're looking like a faucet leaking.
Can't help but sigh when I'm alone and feeling lower.
