To Many More Years Songtext - McDougall

To Many More Years - McDougall

The show came to an end and the curtain fell
So long to all those dressed so well
And to the flashing light we said goodbye
As we said hello to the rest of the night
Some friends did part for another time
As I continued on with the dearest friend of mine
As we sat and we talked as the rains came down
Like the beautiful shores of Oben town

So blessed to look now
Through the windows drawn blind
Well through these cities streets we ride
To hear the kind words and feel the warm embrace
To see the glow of the streetlights on that sweet face

Some friends may come and some may go
Who they will be truly god only knows
And there's few who will travel without it
Being said to wear
Because inside they both know you are already there

The show came to an end and the curtain fell
So long to all those dressed so well
And to the flashing lights we said good bye
As we said hello to the rest of the night
