My Friends All Passed Out - Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground

My friends all passed out this morning when I got up
Was filled with worry and malaise while they were fillin' their cups
It went my left my right foot and on and such
Cause to get movin' is to get yourself up out of the rut

And it's the dumb kids again, but we could use some dumb luck
And there's a pawn shop in my hood I use to scrape bucks
It went my left my right foot and on and such
Besides I'm not the type of guy who really sleeps that much
Cause I work damn hard and it'll drive us fucking crazy

My friends all get defeated like me and left with our doubts
The other day existentialism was buggin' em' out
I said "You can't be perplexed on your sake or decay..."
"Shit, I'm smack dab in the middle of heaven and hell everyday.
"

And it's the dumb kid again, but shit I'm conscious at best
And there's a pawn shop in my hood families use to pay rent
It went my left my right foot to get where I'm at
Besides we ain't got the time to really think about that
Cause we work damn hard and it'll drive us fucking crazy

So I'm pacing in my head
And feeling quite lucid
From paycheck to paycheck
Working more and living less

You could be the vagrant sleepin' catching Z's
On a couch in my back alley
And if you're lucky just like him
You can pass out before it drives you crazy
7 a.m. sunshine hits his face oh what a luxury
And if you're lucky just like me you can pass out before it drives us crazy
