And watched the boys growing -

No heart for farming

Living in town
In a tidy asphalt street
Stand on your verandah
Watch the world pass slowly by

Have you really lost your heart
Did it stay ten miles away
When you sold the farm
The boys are gone
And you're living in town

With your wife by your side
You stroll to the papershop
And still by "The Land"
These are changing times
And you couldn't keep up with them
So what else could you do? Than start

You get a call now and then
The boys and their families
Are doing O.K. (in a city sort of way)
You'd love to share more
But you weren't made for the city life -
